In 1973, Knoll introduced The Platner Executive Office collection. The sleek-profile executive desk is characterized by a bulbous oak perimeter with a black leather writing surface, supported by polished chrome legs and extended feet. Drawers of various sizes could be mounted under the desk for storage. The collection included matching leather-covered credenzas with upper storage units, square and round tables, desk extensions, and other accessories. Platner defined “classic” as something that, every time you look at it, you accept it as it is and see no way to improve it.
This is part of a full Platner executive set that’s also available on the website. Smaller version of this table also available.
