This leather sofa was designed in the 1970s by George Bighinello for the Italian brand Eurosalotto. It’s part of the “Capriccio” seating series and stands out for its soft, rounded shape and the signature gathered leather upholstery that gives it a relaxed, almost padded look.
The frame is low and wide, with three deep seats and a high curved backrest that continues smoothly into the armrests. The brown leather has aged beautifully, adding character without losing comfort. All original.
Nice to know: The scrunched leather technique used here was popular among several Italian designers in the ’70s, not just for looks, but also to make the leather more flexible and forgiving with time.
