This is a group of four Lotek lamps designed by Benno Premsela in 1982. The set includes two floor models in different heights and two versions that can be used as a pendant or floor model. All lamps use the same construction: a lightweight metal frame with a square shade made from stretched rice paper like Japanese lanterns. The shades give a soft, warm light. The frames are simple and modular, so the lamps can be used separately or together as a group.
Premsela designed the Lotek for the Dutch brand Hollands Licht. The idea was to create a lamp that could be flat-packed, assembled without tools, and adjusted in height by stacking frames.
