Stylish desk lamp by Dutch architect and designer Louis Kalff, who is known for his lamp designs for the Dutch company Philips. In the 1950s Kalff designed a series of lights for this company. The disk-shaped metal shade in a green/gray color is held by a diagonal adjusted brass stem. The dark grey/greenish shade contrasts beautifully with the golden stem. The design of the shade with a circular gap on top the light bulb not only shines downwards but also makes the light shine upwards.
