Louis Poulsen “Bridgelampe”, 1930s

€ 1350

Sculptural uplight floor lamp known as the “Bridgelampe”, produced by Louis Poulsen in the 1930s. Made from lacquered and browned iron, with a flared chalice-shaped reflector that softly directs light upwards. Model number 11170, this design appears in Louis Poulsen’s 1936 catalogue—right alongside Poul Henningsen’s famous “PH” lamps.
The “Bridgelampe” was part of a new wave of functional lighting in Denmark during the 1930s, combining simple forms with smart light diffusion, well before mid-century design became popular.
